Am I the only person in America wearing slippers?

Why aren't there any slippers in the stores in February?  It's still cold outside.  I wear slippers all year round, yet by February, you can pick up a pair (if you can find them!) for 90% off.  It seems absurd that something like slippers is considered seasonal.  Maybe it's just me.  In any event, thank goodness for the internet.  On the internet, there are no seasons.

Mercury was the mythological character who was depicted with winged shoes.  Both FTD and GoodYear Tires have used this imagery in their logos.
